I may go see it as well. I read all 4 of the books. I didn't enjoy Breaking Dawn though because I thought it was too long and very adult themed in a way. I did see Twilight and wasn't that impressed.

I didn't feel the urge to watch Twilight (I thought I was a little old for it) until I saw a lotion called "Twilight" at Bath and Body Works, and I realized it was a phenomenon.

Yes, I love the movie, I love Edward Cullen, and I cried for two weeks over him. Everybody criticizes the writing as juvenile, but something about that story makes you feel like you are really in love. twilightheaded.com is a funny, albeit VERY crass and vulgar, blog about the series. (TEAM  EDWARD )

Most assuredly not, I'm afraid. I like my vampires in the model of Anne Rice, or White Wolf's World of Darkness.

My 16yo daughter (15 at the time) read the books and suggested I read them, so I did. I loved them! I'm 46 freakin years old too lol. Then my 13yo got into them and she's read each of them over and over.

I have a link somewhere to the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun, which is the first book written from Edwards point of view. I've read some of it. It was leaked and put online so the author decided to just put it on her website and to hold off on finishing it. Anybody want it?

team Jacob, but really thinks Bella should just hook up with that mortal guy Mike

I have been reading a lot of articles about the movie and "Obsessive Cullen Disorder", and the theory is that he is an insecure girl's dream guy, because his love is so obvious and chivalrous. I'm pretty insecure, so I'd have to agree. :P

Am I the only one who felt really connected to Bella because she seems to be an undiagnosed aspie? I just finished Eclipse. I hated the writing style but I can't wait for more, and more!

The only issue I had with the series is the people getting married around age 18 or so. To me that's too young. Then someone told me it's because Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon, and Mormons generally marry early. But her writing style isn't nearly as violent and gore like Anne Rice. There is no pre martial sex and profanity. I read another vampire series by PC Cast and returned it that same day. It had profanity and I don't like to read books that have that at all.
