"How I met your Mother".

Couldn't he just tell his kids "I met your mother at a party or a football game?"

Does he HAVE to have to tell them his entire sexual history and those of his friends in the years leading up to meeting the mother?

Seriously, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW what my mother and father did before they met. I really don't.
