There's a thread for what movies people have seen recently but there didn't seem to be one for what DVD's/videos people have bought recently?
So are there any DVD's/videos you couldn't resist buying? :P

I got a few bargains today at the shops and I bought:
No Country for Old Men - I've been wanting to see this for ages.
The Dark Knight - I saw this in the cinema when it came out and I thought it was really good. I don't know why I didn't buy this ages ago. :D
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Again I've been wanting to see this for ages as I really enjoyed the first action-packed movie!
Open Season 1 & 2 - This was definately a random whim. It was cheap and is the type of thing I like to watch once in a while for a laugh so...

I found a store nearby that sells dvds stupidly cheap, so I've bought a lot lately. Far more than I've even had time to watch. For not wanting to write out a ridiculously long list that nobody cares about, I'll just say that the last two I bought were found on ebay really cheap: Two Lovers and District 9. And just before that I bought the dvd of Girl Number 9, an online thriller.

I bought Green Lantern: First Flight. It is a cool cartoon. It is the first story of Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. First I thought it was too violent for a cartoon, then I thought that if the new Green Lantern movie was like the cartoon it would be cool.

I bought, around a month ago, a number of Doctor Who-related DVDs:

Doctor Who: Dalek War Boxset (Frontier in Space, Planet of the Daleks)

Dr Who and the Daleks/Dalek Invasion Earth 2150 AD (a rare one this, got it secondhand)

Doctor Who: Built for War Boxset (The Time Warrior, The Sontaran Experiment, The Invasion of Time, The Two Doctors)

I am hoping to get, very soon, the Doctor Who: Peladon Tales Boxset.

I bought Moon and 500 Days of Summer on Bluray this week. Two of the best US films of 2009.

The last one I bought was Zombieland on Blu-Ray about a month ago. My movie-purchasing has really slowed down since my brother-in-law got me into comics December.

I never used to watch tv/dvds at all until my gf moved in. I find it hard to sit still and watch tv, I need to be doing something else and can read and watch tv at the same time but now we have quite a collection as a shop near us sells them for £2 - £3 each secondhand. Think the last we bought were Contact, In America and Alien vs predator
