I like how at times he doesn't care about things while I do. LOL! Sure I am not obsessive with cleaning or other odd Sheldon behaviors. I saw last nights episode it ROCKS that he has uncashed paychecks sitting in a drawer YA SHELDON! The whole Stan Lee restraining order part was hilarious aswell. :-)

I would like to be able to speak my mind as he does. I also envy his focus and drive and abilty to excel in what he enjoys.

Sheldon already is basically a caricature of me... if I were any more like him, my family would probably be very frightened.

Since I have Aspergers, yes, I do wish I was more like Sheldon. He knows what he wants to do and is able to do it. He is able to channel his interest and skills into a good career and doesn't care what that he doesn't have m/any friends.

That show is lame. Right up there with Two and a Half Men.

I haven't seen much of the show this "Sheldon" is from but I have seen Two and a Half Men. Awful, awful show. Absolute crap. And yet nobody I know dislikes it. Some haven't seen it but all who have seen it like it. I can't see why.

Reviving thread to say - you are not alone. I ADORE Big Bang Theory but Two and a Half Men is inane drivel.

I love how he can just say what's on his mind and not care less about how people think of him. There is no stopping this guy! :D

I have to admit that I like watching Two and a Half Men, but at the same time I don't like most of the characters. How does that work?

I haven't seen more than one or two episodes so I really can't compare myself with him, however a woman I'm currently dating told me she thinks Sheldon is pretty cute and actually watches the series because of him. I don't think it's a coincidence she think's I'm cute as well

I would love to have his confidence in himself, despite his lack of social skills. Self confidence is something I've lacked most of my life, precisely because I am all too aware of my social awkwardness.

The less you care about making social mistakes, the more confident you become and the easier it gets to actually LEARN the rules and principles of social interaction. It is precisely by not caring about what people think of me for many years that I actually started to learn what they expect from me because it gave me the balls to experiment with social interaction and accept failure honorably rather than crawl into a corner and cry.
