Probably not.
The movie was wonderful and anyone who's actually read the book will find it impossible to like.
I do know there's an element in the Christian community that avoids this story because it challenges their beliefs and defies a lot of their theological standing, but just because something goes against your beliefs doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't like it. After all I'm an atheist and I have a huuuuge appreciation for a lot of the better works of Christian art like Catholic architecture, the poetry of John Milton and William Blake, etc.
Anyway, good movie, kudos on having great taste.
PS Your avatar is from The Thief and the Cobbler, right? Ages since I've seen that.
Thanks, and it's nice to meet another person who's familiar with "The Thief".
