I'm not speaking for all bronies here, but I think I know my reasons.

It's a quality show. Basically, I hold it to the same standards that I do other shows. It has an interesting plot, it has high-quality drawing, the songs are so good I occasionally listen to them without the accompanying episode, it has some very good references to other shows and movies I identify with, and the world it displays is simply well thought-out and makes me feel at home. That one is the most important in any show - I refuse watching some shows because the world is based on Japan, some others because it's uninvitingly American, and some others because they're generic sitcoms. My Little Pony is an entirely different level, a genre in itself.

It's a good show. At first I was like "why the f**k do people like this, it's a show about f*****g ponies" but after giving it a chance it's surprisingly very well done and well written. It's actually by the person who made Powerpuff Girls (as well as Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends) which as we all know looked like a show for girls but appealed to a very broad audience because it was just a damn good show. Personally I'd give it a chance, I'm not one of the crazy fans out there but I do recognize that it's an enjoyable and well written cartoon.

A dude made Powerpuff Girls, Craig something, the person behind My Little Pony was an artist.

Speaking as a Non "Bronie" the show isn't that bad, its moderately amusing and the stories flow quite nice.

My only grumble is with some of the voices especially the ponies beginning with Apple  (they should have an episode where they're turned into glue ! !) tho some others are like STFU over time.

Think I've made it half quarter/one third of the way through season 2, and don't think my brain can tolerate anymore.

Ifs definitely worth a watch tho if you like animated series' :)

Okay looked it up and you're right, she didn't create PPG but she is married to the guy who did. She was a main writer, director, and supervisor for the show though.
