Who here watches Outnumbered? I love this show! All the episodes are on YouTube and I've been making my way through them recently, it's so funny

I tried to watch it on YouTube but all I can get are isolated clips. The clips make me REALLY want to watch the show, but when I go to people who have entire episodes, YouTube says it's blocked from being viewed in my country for copyright reasons. :-(

Ahh that's annoying, the BBC must've made it only available in the UK. I'd recommend you use a UK-based proxy to access it, but that'd be slow.

Or, you could try using a YouTube download site, which will download a YouTube video and convert it for you. This is the URL for part 1 of the first Outnumbered episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fBBppLsu2s copy and paste it into this site: http://vixy.net/rawvideo/ and see if it works at downloading it for you. If so, I'll give you the URLs for the other parts if they won't show up for you. :)

Plus I have no idea how that's done.

I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I went through all the bits and it said right-click to download and rename the file and I did all that and ended up with a 5k file that seems to have nothing in it. :-(

That site says they are unable to convert YouTube videos that are country limited.

Damn. The only advice I can give you is to try different sites, if you can't find one that works you'd just have to download it from iTunes or something.

Oh, are they selling it on iTunes? Will it be in the crappy proprietary format?

I wish I knew how to do a proxy like you were talking about.

Thanks for telling me about the show! Maybe eventually it will hit Netflix. All they have right now is some American re-make of the show but I know without looking that it wouldn't live up to it. How could we possibly find a suitable replacement for that marvelous little girl who was going on about Satan?

It's on the UK iTunes Store, I'm guessing it's on the US one too. It will be in an Apple format and will be DRM'd though.

If you want to try the proxy, check this site out: http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/ just type YouTube.com into the box at the bottom and try watching them through there.

That's out, then. If I'm going to pay money for it (and I'm willing to) then I want something I can watch on my television. Amazon.com has them but $45/series is way too steep for something with 6 episodes per series!

Thanks! I'll try that, then.

It won't play through the proxy either. I give up. :-(

Best show coming out of England since League of Gentlemen and I can't watch it.

Maybe eventually it will come to Netflix. I'm going to put in a special request for it.

No worries; not your fault.

From what I could see in the clips, the show is good enough that it will eventually become available to me. I just have to be patient and remember to periodically check for it.

I've got my partner looking on some site he goes to to get movies and albums. He said he could put out a special request for it and someone might have it. I've got my fingers crossed for that. He's found some pretty obscure stuff I've asked him for in the past so there's a chance he will be able to find this.

Well, there are other ways to watch it... I read this thread and then Wikipedia, now the first season is downloading via a torrent.

When it becomes available in the store here, and the show is as good as I think it is, I will absolutely buy it.

Yeah, that's the other way I guess, but I'm wary of torrenting things since it's so easy to be tracked by the copyright police that way. Furk.net is great for bypassing that problem, but is slow.

Not that I'd ever infringe copyrights, of course...
