You know that weird language that the aliens on Pandora on Avatar speak?

I'm making a computerized dictionary for the language in Visual Basic .NET. The trouble is that I want to get permission, but I do not know how. I really do not wish to piss off Hollywood, but I do want at least some credit for it.

If you want some info about it, the dictionary is for non-commercial purposes. Please tell me how I can get permission and the contact information of the people I must contact for permission. Thanks.

I have no idea. I wonder if they'd even care at all, but I know that their is a constructed language and you could maybe find it online. A linguist made a whole language for the movie, and he made much more of the language than is shown in the film. If not, make your own language. I've had to do that when writing short stories and Star Wars fanfics. It's not that hard and it's pretty fun.

I imagine that there are two people you would want to contact if you want official permission to compile such a dictionary. The first, obviously, is James Cameron, although I dunno how you could do that. The second, and much easier, I'd assume, to contact, would be Professor Paul Frommer, the linguist who developed the Na'vi language.

That being said, you won't be the first by far to contact Frommer about the Na'vi language, apparently, according to Wikipedia. Or the first to compile a dictionary of any sort.
