Most of what we do in our kung fu training I'm currently doing is used on Avatar during the action sequences.

I study tai chi (water bending) and sometimes it gets abit distracting because I start naming the moves as they do them

I'm cautiously optimistic about the movie. With great source material, it will be hard to screw up the story, and I was worried the visual effects would look strange translating from animation to live action, but from the trailers it appears they will be convincing enough. M. Night Shyamalan might be on a bit of a losing streak right now, but he has made good movies, so I think it's possible that "The Last Airbender" won't be very good, but I'm fairly confident it won't disappoint me.

Intriguingly enough, there is now a cigar called an Airbender, made by Litto Gomez at La Flor Dominicana. He doesn't come right out and say that it's named after the show, but I think that's for copyright reasons, he hints pretty broadly that he's a fan. He also makes a great cigar, so I look forward to seeing if these are worth smoking.

Why couldn't you have just made a thread about the movie than to bump a 3 year old thread? I mean seriously it feels like the maturity and intelligence of people on the internet just keeps getting lower.

It looks all action, no brain. What made the show great was the philosophy, what a horrible director for such a project. Also, I'm not impressed with the movement and graphics in the previews. I'll check it out.

There's no faith in mediocrity.
