I'm patiently waiting for the third episode to download.
I'm now partially obsessed with this show! I have been watching it from the start, and have read the books. (The books aren't as good, in my opinion).

I was thinking the other day that Sookie's problems with hearing thoughts all the time is similar to "sensory overload" when you hear all conversations at once. She has to constantly put up "shields" to block out that information, and it interferes with her life.

She is polite and social, but her hometown has always seen her as "crazy" and "ret*d" for some of the strange things she does, so she didn't have many friends or dates. She is also often blunt, and speaks her mind when she really shouldn't be doing that. Meaning, telling off Vampires that could eat her.

Not saying she has AS, she doesn't, just noting the analogy to the "disability" of AS.

I was preparing to come in here and say that Sookie in no way has AS, but then literally as I read your first line I got a notice that the third episode had finished downloading - I didn't even know it had started downloading! So now I'm just excited!!

But I did read your post, and I see your point. I hadn't thought about it before.

Also, I agree about the books. I read the first two after watching the first two seasons and the books just weren't as interesting, so I decided not to read the third so as to avoid spoilers for the third season.
