Anybody else remember this show?

It's been on my mind all day for some reason. And to think until this was posted on YouTube, I hadn't seen even a second of this show since they took it off KCAL channel 9 back in 1997 (I live in the Inland Empire, BTW).

A couple years ago, I rented one of those DVDs that they sell in the supermarkets with "Growing Up Wild" on the cover, thinking it was that show. Instead I got the original BBC version, where Madison was mute and he didn't wear a baseball cap and he looked somewhat like a purple-furred Garfield. I thought to myself, "This isn't the Madison I knew."

They should really put this back on the air. Or at least, put it on DVD alongside the British version.

I never watched any Animal Planet shows when I was little. I mainly watched Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and One Saturday Morning.

Huh. I remember a lot of shows from the 90s, but I don't remember this one at all. I do remember watching Emergency Vets on that same channel though. Dr. Fitzgerald was the greatest.

Well actually, it didn't air on Animal Planet at first. It was a syndicated show - around my part, it first aired on my CBS affiliate at 6:30 on Saturday mornings for a year, then it moved to channel 9 for another year, then it just disappeared... except on Animal Planet, and I wouldn't get that channel until after it had left there.

I sued to watch this one safari show about these two brothers... but I can't even remember the name.

Was it Kratts' Creatures, or Zoboomafoo?
