I love this show but some things about it irk me so much I can't concentrate!

I always figure out how many years have passed and apply that to the actor playing the current character. Sometimes this person should be like 80 years old but he/she looks like they're 60 at best!

And another thing that really bothers me is the songs used from that year aren't always from that year. Machinehead (Bush) for example) was used in an ep about a 1999 case but that song was released in like 94!

Why would someone create a show like this and not pay attention to such details?

At least the song was released BEFORE the year they were discussing.

I forget which episode it was, but one year, they played a song that hadn't been released yet. It was because the lyrics fit the episode's theme. I imagine that was the case in the example you used.

And not everyone ages the same. Someone I know who is 72, does not look a day over 35, I swear to Gosh. My husband is 60 and everyone says he looks no older than 40.

i like cold case too, i saw one episode in whicch all the songs had been written by John Lennon but it was based in 2004, that was odd

Has bothered me a bit, too. Mayb it's hard to get good actors in their 80's? I don't know.

I love this show, haha I never paid attention to the music, but I feel that the ages are pretty spot on.
