Why does the Bee Bee Cee still pay him and a fine sum to boot? He has the most annoying, squealing voice I can think of.

They pay him loads too. There are far more talented people out there than that has-been.

No, but then you would probably expect that of me anyway.

I don't like him. Or any of his ilk - not for being Irish but for being a squealing fairy. That Alan Carr's the same. Stick them both in a shipping container bound for Iran and be done with them.

I don't really know what to expect of you. They aren't my cup of tea either.

Can you add anyone else to the bonfire? I nominate Rhona Cameron (about as funny as having your teeth kicked in) and Paul O'Grady.

Yes, he is annoying. But you shouldn't have titled your post liked you did, it could be a little offensive to some people, sorry, don't mean to start this post grumbling! But i guess I have :D
I never liked him until I got into Father Ted. After watching him on that show, I couldn't stop laughing.  It was himself exaggerated so much to the extreme of annoyingness, I no longer found his show that bad.
You should watch Father Ted if you haven't, Graham Norton first appears in the second series, an episode titled "Hell" or some such thing. He also appears in "Flight Into Terror" and "The Mainland"( where his squealy fairy voice comes to and end!) 8)

Good.

Norton describes himself as a "shiny Irish poof". So if he does it so can I. It's part of his (very irritating) persona anyway.

I like the other one in Father Ted - the one who's dead now. He was good and had a distinctive face.

Well, anyone on breakfast or daytime TV can go. And anyone on night time TV. I don't watch much TV anymore. Anyone vacuous and boring with a line in slightly suggestive 'humour'. All the women on 'Loose Women'. Who's that Irish comedian that isn't funny? Patrick Kielty. or something. He's the only one that comes to mind by name, but he's not homosexual. Well, I don't know if he is or not.

Hey, have you ever seen 'Room 101'? Maybe we could have a version of that. I don't want them to die, just be sent somewhere secure so I never have to be subjected to them.

he he okay, fair enough!! !! That's actually quite funny
I think the man you meant in Father Ted is Father Ted himself, he died from a heart attack after the filming of the last episode at the after party( or so I heard, poor man)

Oh, and another thing about Graham Norton that annoys me is his "I'm offended" look, it is soooo fake! :P

Does anyone actually find Patrick Kielty funny? I know his dad was murdered in the Troubles and all but... he's not funny.

Oh, yes. Loose Women. Don't get me started on that. That Lynda Bellingham should have stuck to doing the Oxo adverts, stupid cow. And the rest of them? Would there be a real loss to humankind if they were never seen or heard of again?

I have heard of Room 101 but it is too good-natured.

I dislike Graham Norton because when my book came out, some publicity guy for the "So Graham Norton"show wrote to ask me if I would appear on the show. I asked my British friends what the show was about and was warned that they would only have me on so they could make fun of me and humiliate me on the show. So I turned the publicity guy down and he responded with a highly abusive e-mail.

So I've never seen Graham Norton's show and I never want to see it. I associate it with a bunch of rude w*kers who get their jollies off trying to make other people feel small.

That is pretty much it. 'Comedy' for bullies and a***holes. I would rather have that nasty food-borne poisoning I had in Northern Cyprus on my 21st birthday than spend an evening watching him.

You did right.

What was your book by the way?

It was about the sex industry (which is probably why Norton was interested.) I got pretty picky about interviews pretty fast because it turned out that most radio and television folks weren't interested in the research and statistics, they just wanted to have a laugh at my expense on a sensitive topic.

I'll take the 'bigoted' bit and wear it with pride, 'cos I am a bigot. Not sure about the moron though.

And anyway, it's not just Graham Norton I dislike - see the other names too. They are all English.
