Ok. I love the new Doctor... I admit it. As with the change from Christopher Eccleston to David Tennant, I wasn't sure if I would like Matt Smith, however I've changed my mind... He's so funny! I like the fact he's so alien and socially oblivious! I've even nicknamed him the Aspergic doctor as a joke! Here's a few of my favourite quotes:

Doctor: I've got 20 minutes to save the world and I've got a post office... And it's shut!

Doctor: What is that?

Amy: It's a duck pond

Doctor: why aren't there any ducks?

Amy: I don't know, there's never any ducks

Doctor: Then how do you know it's a duck pond?

Amy: It just is... Is it important a duck pond?

Amy's BF: You've just summoned aliens back to earth. Actual aliens. Deadly aliens. Aliens of death and now... you're taking your clothes off... Amy he's taking his clothes off...

Doctor: Turn your back if it embarasses you.

BF: Are you stealing clothes now? Those clothes belong to people you know... (to Amy) Are you not... gonna turn your back?

Amy: Nope

The episode was brilliant. Anyone agree?

I loved it!

I especially liked the line from the icecream van man "Well it's SUPPOSED to be playing Clare Da Lune"

I loved it too. I was also massively relieved that he was such a good doctor. Lots of very good moments.

Oh... I loved his trouble with food at the start. "Bacon... are you trying to poison me? .... Beans... evil!" And his saying, "who da man? .... oops, I'll NEVER say that again!"

I absolutely LOVED the new episode!! ! I was pretty darn excited but I wasn't expecting to like him right off the bat because it took me a few episodes before I liked the previous two doctors (I almost didn't even keep watching Doctor Who in the first place because I didn't like the episode Rose very much - glad I decided to give it another shot!). But this new episode was great all around, I loved everything and I can't wait for the rest of the series! I'm way too excited right now! :D :D :D

Edit: Plus, this is my 500th post here! I'm a phoenix! AWESOME!! !! !
(I did say I was overexcited, now this has just added to it)

I haven't seen The Eleventh Hour, although to be honest, I'm actually waiting until it comes out in Australia (in two weeks time) to watch it. That being said, I looked up the title sequence.

Visuals excellent, much better than the RTD title sequence, but the music...needs to be less upbeat and more mysterious nightmare fuel. I mean, the last theme was upbeat, albeit in just the right way, but this one seems like someone injected The Sarah Jane Adventures theme into it.

^ I forgot about that, it was the one thing that I didn't like about the new episode. It looks amazing but I'm not so sure about the music. I suppose it'll grow on me but my initial thoughts were not favourable.

Yes, I'm quite happy that it fell on a Doctor Who thread. Especially when the Doctor has just regenerated. Very fitting.

I've seen ads on BBC America, but all I have is a face so far.

I just watched a clip from the next episode and there is a sign that says "magpie electricals" but from the angle of the shot I first thought it said "aspie electricals".

No incinerating the human residence Jellybean!

Can't wait till tomorrow hope i can get to sleep tonight. Doctor Who pretty much became one of my special interests when I caught my first episode (The Shakespeare Code). Never had a chance to watch old school Who growing up.

I loved that episode. I particularly enjoyed it because I was studying Macdeath (my name for it!) at the time so I could see Shakespear in a different way! Didn't help my essay much, but having the word 'Shakespear' in the title was a good enough excuse to slack off! Tonight's one was brilliant. Won't say anything about it yet though.

Agree, tonight's episode was great! And the preview for next week's looks great also! This series is awesome so far and I'm so excited to see more. The waiting is killing me, this is the first series I'm watching while it's being aired - I didn't really get into Doctor Who until series 4 was almost over and by the time I caught up it was over and the Christmas special was about to air. The specials were also a lot of waiting but I think it's worse knowing that the next episode is only a week away. It's so close but it seems so far! It's terrible that I'm wishing away my weeks so I can watch more Doctor Who, but it's just so good! I'm really enjoying the new Doctor, and Amy is enjoyable also. Ahhh, why isn't it next week yet?!

I saw that! It links back to an episode from an earlier series, "The Idiot's Lantern", which was set in the 1950s...
