I'm not trying to insinuate in any way that people with Asperger's are mentally ret*d, but, because Aspies tend to be more sympathetic toward the plight of children with mental handicaps, I was wondering if you take offense to this particular scene from Family Guy.

Also, there may or may not be a better forum for this thread, but because it's not clear specifically what disability the child in this clip has, I figured I might as well put it in this forum.

I don't particularly like Family Guy. That said, this is a harmless joke about the instinctual behavior of a dog in contrast with the otherwise human-like Brian character. The disabled child isn't the butt of the joke, just a vessel for the set-up.
I don't find the joke funny, but nor do I find it offensive. Maybe a little insensitive, but Family Guy isn't intended to be a sensitive show, and there is no reason why it should have to be. Few things are more offensive to me than censorship.

As the poster above me stated, it's not outright offensive, but it is a bit insensitive.

That being said, I didn't laugh, but I wanted to. Now I feel terrible. :(

South Park usually has a point behind the crudeness - Family Guy's point is the crudeness. I don't find it offensive - but it's not funny either.

I just find it repulsive and have never watched an entire episode.

I wasn't aware that aspies had particular concern for the plight of special needs children. I don't feel like I do.

I'm not offended by anything.

...and I'm certainly not empathetic towards fictional handicapped characters.

As for the clip, the video's harmless, the comments bellow it... not so much.
