Who else likes this show?

How about Survivor, I Survived (on the bio channel) , and Fear Factor.

My mom didn't think I liked those shows, but I watch them all the time.

Dual survivor or survivor duel?!

My wife and I like to watch that show and similar ones, and I think those kinds of shows can be good for teaching certain principles as well as some specific skills. However, we do not care for the soap operas staged in wilderness areas.

Dual Survivor. It's a good show. I wish they had survival classes in school.

Agreed. "Dual Survivor" is about two people watching out for each other and working together, but the competition and "voting people out" scripted into some other shows is anti-social behaviour.

Guitar_Girl: There are people who take others on outings to teach survival skills, and maybe there is someone like that near wherever you might happen to live.

I'll take "Survivorman" any old day and perhaps "Man Vs. Wild".

Yes. My wife and I have recently been watching "Top Shot" where the competition began with two teams of shooters even though the overall point is to eventually have just one individual "Top Shot" winner. Each time a team loses a current round of competition, those team members "vote" to "eliminate" someone from among them by actually firing guns at targets with names on them. All seemed well there and entertaining until I saw that.

My wife says it is either A&E or The History Channel, and I think the final episode of the current round will be shown on the 15th of this month.

This is part of a special Les did on surviving a flood.

And now, here he is relaxing with a ukulele on the Cook Islands. A personal favorite for me. Look for it at the end of the video.

Now, OLes has a new survival show on Discovery this Friday. This time, he has a camera crew following him arounde while looking at indigineous tribes and the survival methods they still use today. I'm not so sure how good it's going to be, I know Les makes the idea of roughing it in the outdoors more exciting. Yet, I'll take "Survivorman" almost anyday.
