Well, I liked Watchmen. The film, I mean. Well, I liked both the original graphic novel and the film. I think that there were many things that the film did right, some things that they did do wrong (Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, anyone? And then there's some of the ramped-up violence...), and that the ending in the movie was far more believeable than 'Squiddly-Diddly' in the graphic novel.

There were some things about the movie that I liked better than the comic. I liked how Nite Owl saw Rorscach get blown up and he yelled out no because at least someone will be mourning his death. The whole pirates thing never really got that. But there are somethings the movie should have explained such as that weird tiger or Rorscach's mask. If there's 1 comic book movie adaptation with a few changes that is better than the novel it is Kick Ass.

Rorschach's origin was more developed in the comic than the movie. They took out the Kitty Genovese back story.

The superhero group was never called "Watchmen' in the comic...they were called the Crimebusters (admittedly, that's a pretty minor thing).

I have to admit the movie was almost as good as the comic. Almost.
