I saw a trailer on telly the other day for a film called "the social network" about facebook. It looks quite good, is anyone watching it or has anyone watched it already?
Trailer:

It does seem like quite a strange idea for a film, but I think it could work.

I wasn't going to watch it because I don't like Facebook and thought a movie about it would be a pile of s**t. But it got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (and they're harsh) and it's directed by David Fincher (he directed Fight Club and Zodiac, good films). I'm actually going to watch it now.

I've seen it already. It's amazing in all of its aspects.

Maybe a movie will be made about Wrong Planet?

My g/f wanted to see it, but I was sort of indifferent about it, thought it would be sort of a dull topic. But it was actually quite good, a good story and very well done - I think in particular the screenplay was excellent. Plus the main character, if not an "Aspie", had some traits that I think a lot of Aspie's have.

I think facebook is a place where all your worst enemies come out. I wont be seeing the film either.

The film was good. OMg I just looked up Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook and found him. You can read what he has been up to as his privacy settings are not set to friends only. It's not a fake profile either as all his friends in his network are in the Facebook network.

Wow, he says he wants to promote openness, and that's what he has done. At least he isn't being hypocritical.

Check him out if it interests you - facebook.com/zuck . It won't let you poke him though, or add him or block him 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

I think he is being hypocritical if he says he wants to promote openness. I'm on the profile now and it says there's no posts on his wall (so only his friends can see it), I can't see his friends list, I can't see his photos, etc.

Ok - when you click on 'wall' It says 'no recent posts'

Click ' older posts'

You will see all his recent posts, pics etc plus if you keep clicking 'older posts it goes all the way back to 2008

I think it's pretty awesome that I can go on it. Even if some of it is private

A film about Facebook defines just how sad the world has become.
I don't really want to go and see it either, not my kind of film.
