guys, tim burton can't do superhero movies. he always ignores the comic books and puts in his own "style" that's one of the key reasons i hated his "batman" movies. they are a heavily distorted version of batman. did i mention i hate those movies?

I don't care if Tim can't do superhero movies. I've never been a fan of comic books anyway. In my personal opinion he did a wonderful job incorporating his signature style into other works, like Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Just because I don't like superhero movies by a certain director doesn't mean that they don't do other good stuff. For example, I have no interest in seeing The Dark Knight but I absolutely loved Christopher Nolan's work on Inception.

Yes. Did I mention that they were the best Batman films until Nolan came along, in my opinion? No? Well, there you go. Batman and Batman Returns were the best two Batman films until Batman Begins and The Dark Knight came along.

Is there anything other than the story or style that you want to complain about with those two films? Or is it just that? This sounds more like knee-jerk prejudice to me, and remember, the Batman animated series from which you took your avatar took its cues from Burton's films, thank you very muchly. Not only that, but it wouldn't have gotten off the ground without the Burton films. Put that in your pipe/bong/hookah/smoking device of choice and smoke it.

And just to rub a little salt onto that wound, can anyone tell me what this piece of music from the video game Mother 3 sounds like? (Yes, it is, tangentially, relevant)

In my opinion, his Batman movies are good. Joel Schumacher's Batman films on the other hand are not.

You didn't offend me. I just get a little defensive over my special interests. :)
