The deadpan way he delivers the lines on a morning TV show is brilliant. He plays a crusty dried-up old TV news reporter who's got such a good caliber he's embarrassed and furious to be contractually obliged to entertain the lowest common denominator. The best line in the film is when Harrison Ford screams:
Somebody get me my goddamn eggs!!
