I've been wanting to make this topic since I saw the movie almost a month ago. I absolutely love it, it's up there among my top favorites. :D What did you guys think of the movie? If you enjoyed it, who were your favorite characters and what were your favorite quotes and scenes?

My Top 3 Favorite Characters
1. The Mad Hatter - I love how friendly and wacky he is. It always cheers me up to think of him and watch clips of him on youtube. Johnny Depp did a wonderful job playing him.
2. Alice - She and I have so much in common (blonde, 19 year old women, dreamers). In fact, I often like to imagine that she is my long-lost twin sister.
3. The Knave of Hearts - He's evil, but he's kinda dreamy. A tall man with long hair? And a scar and an eyepatch to boot!? Yes please!

Favorite Quotations:
"You're mad - but all the best people are."
"Of course that's Alice - I'd know him anywhere!" - The Mad Hatter
"I love my fat boys." - The Red Queen
"...Spoon." - The March Hare

Favorite Scenes:
The Mad Hatter dancing The Futterwacken. It made me laugh so hard!
The part where the Knave is looking for Alice and puts the Hatter in a headlock to try to get information out of him.
The part where the Hatter is getting upset because he thinks he's losing his mind and Alice comforts him.

Visuals were great, so were the special effects, and the Mad Hatter, Red Queen, Cheshire Cat and the Knave of Hearts were great. Rest of it, a bit meh. And Christopher Lee (the Jabberwocky) and Michael Gough (the Dodo) were criminally underutilised. I mean, I know that they're old now, but they're excellent actors, they could have been used a little more.

I enjoyed the movie as well. I really liked the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum. I also liked the Victorian-era costumes.

My favourite part of the movie was Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat. I'm a fan of Stephen Fry anyway, but I think he did an awesome job as the cat, just really nailed the role.

Played by Crispin Glover who also played George McFly in BOTF. Also here's a little side trivia. Crispin Glover plays Willy Wonka in the comedy spoof Epic Movie... a role his co-star Johnny Depp starred in! Isn't that amazing?! I think it is. :)

I have mixed feelings. First of all, when I went to see it, they were no longer showing it in 3-D. And also, while I still enjoyed it a lot, I had a hard time reconciling it with the book that I read as a child. It looked as though they had combined both Alice in Wonderland, and Alice through the Looking Glass. (They were two separate stories.) Still and all, awesome special effects and a stellar cast made it at least worthwhile!

I liked it all right. I really wanted to see it because the trailer looked cool and it had Johnny Depp in it and I'm a fan of him. The visuals were awesome and I loved the way they brought the Jabberwocky into it since that's one of my favorite poems ever. I'd probably watch it again sometime. :)

I know who Crispin Glover is - I've done research on nearly every actor and actress who starred in AiW. Crispin is on my list of hot male celebrities, though of course he is second banana to Johnny Depp (no one can top him on my list). Believe me, I've already looked up the Willy Wonka epic movie spoof - Crispy was a great dancer!

I saw the movie in 3D.
I liked the movie but the 3D wasn't anything to get excited about.
The Mad Hatter was my favourite character.

What on earth are you talking about? I'm wasn't mad at all. In fact, I felt happy when I typed that message. That's the problem with the Internet - you can't portray your emotions very accurately, and things can easily be taken the wrong way. I'm sorry you thought I was mad, but I really wasn't. Honest.

I didn't really like the film that much, I expected better. However I do agree Johnny Depp was fantastic, playing the type of character he does best. But his eyes were freaky...

Saw it in 3D. It was alright. I say alright because I went to it thinking it was going to be a remake, instead of a sequel to the story. I absolutely hate surprises, so I ripped the movie for the first 30 minutes or so. Buuut, the movie won me over eventually (thank you Anne Hathaway<3), and I was able to enjoy it as it's own movie by the time anything important happened. <3 Bayard the dog.
