This two-year-old article claims that a remake of DeMille's famous Exodus adaptation The Ten Commandments is in production. If true, I'm especially psyched about it, in part because I'm a big fan of ancient Egyptian culture, and in part because they claim it will be filmed in the style of 300.

If these rumors are true, I would like to see the following actors cast:

Moses: John Abraham
Pharaoh Rameses II: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Nefretiri (Moses's Egyptian lover): Genevieve Nnaji
Tzipporah (Moses eventually marries this Midianite woman): Meagan Good
Pharaoh Seti (Rameses's father): Morgan Freeman
Aaron (Moses's brother): Philip Shahbaz
Miriam (Moses's sister): Salma Hayek

Frankly. I hope it never happens.

Given the state of Hollywood today, I expect it will be an abomination of history and a farce of the original work.

Personally I'm tired of film adaption based on overrated poorly written fictional novels.

A remake?

Didn't a remake already happen, but as a TV movie/miniseries?
