I'm seeing alot of recent threads on Sci-fi series so I thought I'd jump in by mentioning one of my most favorite sci-fi series - Lexx.

Anyone else a fan? :D It's a shame they canceled it. I hope they decide to continue it again at some point. I think it is a series alot of aspies can probably connect with.... alot of the characters, in fact probably all of them, are somewhat aspie in nature.

Huge fan! I have the entire series on DVD. I used to look forward to watching it first-run on SciFi channel every week, late Saturday night. I'm more of an Eva Haberman fan but I have no complaints with Xenia.

I'm not sure how I would describe this show to the uninitiated - it's sort of a twisted, more adult version of Farscape, if you'e familiar with that show. But the characters are far less heroic. A group of misfits gets ahold of the spaceship Lexx, which is a living organism and the most powerful weapon in the universe(or the two universes, as it develops). Hilarity ensues. Captain Stanley Tweedle has a habit of accidentally blowing up the wrong planet. Ha ha. It's that kind of very dark humor.

Dead man Kai(sp?) is surely the most aspie character ever.

 You're soo right. Twisted universe, group of misfits, no heroes, dead man unable to express any emotions, accidentally "blowing things up"... So easy to relate to. No wonder I loved the series that much

Lexx is one of the best sci fi series out there. Its half comedy half sci fi...and 100% dark humor :)

how this series came out of Canada is beyond understanding

Here's the introduction of the show during the first season of Lexx. You can judge if it looks good or not:

You would be correct. Since Lexx is supposed to be a living ship and a weapon of mass destruction which was grown and genetically engineered by the Insect race, the leader of whom is The Shadow, the designers of the show wanted to make him look like an insect. Somehow they chose to model him after a dragonfly.

it seams like the ships in a lot of sci-fi shows look like bugs, Lexx looks like a dragon fly, Serenity (from Firefly) looks like a Firefly, and Moya (from Farscape) looks like some kind of waterbug

I watched the first few, but had trouble figuring out who did what, and to whom...;)

Actually made a model of the ship (in 3d), probably one of the largest I've made (13 meg)...;)
