I don't know if I'm out of the loop, but I just found out that they're going to remake The Thin Man, starring Johnny Depp as Nick Charles.
The Thin Man series of movies from the 1930s, starring William Powell as Nick Charles and Myrna Loy as Nora Charles, is one of my all-time favorites! I have the DVD box set and have seen it multiple times. The dialogue, particularly in the first two films, is a lot of fun to watch.
I'm curious to see how they're going to do it. Will it be a period piece from the 1930s? Will it be in a contemporary setting? Who will play Nora?

In The Thin Man Nick Charles is a retired detective married to wealthy heiress Nora. They end up getting drawn into mysteries to solve. These mysteries are often referred to as "cozies" because they usually have a rather light-hearted take on murder, rather than a dark, dramatic approach.
Their witty banter is probably one of the best features of the series. Here's a YouTube video with clips from different movies in the series showing their dialogue:
