When I watched "The Batman", all I could do was think about how it was an awful idea to do a series so close to, but clearly inferior to, Batman: The Animated Series.

With Batman The Brave and the Bold, I don't even stop to think of that. It's very enjoyable for what it is, a throwback to the age of innocent comic book storylines for casual fans who want to see some classic superhero action. It does a great job of that, although at times the sound effects and character reactions seem too silly and a bit out of place.

The only episodes I like are Deep Cover for Batman, Game Over for Owlman, Chill of the Night and The Knights of Tomorrow. Other than that the show is just stupid. I know it's just keeping traditional to the old comics(I don't read many comic books) but still.

I will never forgive them for what they did to Harley.

Yep, it's very Dick Sprang without getting too camp or silly.

I like it. I watched Battle of the Superheroes and BatMite Presents: Batman's Strangest Cases, and I loved them both. My only gripe is that this should have been called Batman Universe.

I also plan on getting WayForward's video game adaptation for the Wii sometime.

the series is based off the comic of the same name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Brave_and_the_Bold

but yeah, the focus wasn't on batman in the brave and the bold comic, that's where the show deviates from the source material

i think the show is pretty good

the episode featuring superman was pretty cool, and i noticed it took elements from batman's fights with superman in the dark knight returns and hush

take a look:

this show also makes references to other batman materials (i.e. a death in the family, knightfall, and the dark knight returns to name a few)

I've heard the TV show has been going crazy with all the in-jokes and references and what not. Sounds like fun.

It's a pity it was canceled. I enjoyed this tv show.
