I liked the first episode so much! There are just a few things which could have been a bit better, but overall it looks like the creators of the show have done a great job bringing the Seven Kingdoms to life. The visuals are breathtaking and most of the time it did feel like being in another world, as opposed to just shooting in an old castle somewhere and pretending it's Winterfell. None of the locations felt like just dressed up places you might find on earth. The casting was excellent for the most part, although it's too early to tell with some characters who only get more screen time later in the series.

Anything with Sean Bean starring is usually worth watching.

Seen this the other day, I think it's going to be amazing, granted they crammed an awful lot into the pilot episode and at times was a bit difficult to keep track but that great twist at the end (I won't say what it is to avoiding spoiling it for anyone) shows this is going to be a great series full of unexpected turns and be downright brutal.

It's already been commissioned a 2nd season by HBO as well. :D

I love A Song of Ice and Fire, so I was really happy with the pilot.
