Are there any classic horror movies you've seen that you didn't find to be particularly scary? There were about several for me.

The Exorcist

I don't think it's a bad movie, but given all the hype over this movie, you'd think it was the scariest thing ever to come out of Hollywood. I watched it, and although I found it to be quite creepy and unnerving, I didn't find it to be particularly scary, and there's a difference between "creepy" and "scary" in my opinion.

Carrie (1976)

I didn't find this movie to be scary in the slightest. I see it as more of a thriller/high school melodrama than a true horror movie.

Frankenstein (1931)

I guess, since I was already somewhat familiar with the story of Frankenstein, the movie wasn't really scary for me. Of course, it was pretty scary for audiences at the time of the film's release, apparently.

Dunno about classic, but I saw Silent Hill recently and it wasn't particularly scary. The announcer said it was 'genuinely disturbing'.

Frankenstein's one of my favorites :) but Dr Caligari's Cabinet is completely amazing. I don't
find it to be scary but, being from the 1920's I admit I majorly underestimated it, there's
turns of events which I didn't expect. Like so many horrorfilms from today, there are not that many
truly scary old ones' either (that is according to me), but, -again according to me- the old blackandwhite
one's are so much more inspiring and just wondrous. I hope this didn't turn out wrong...

No. All horror movies make me jump. There is a scene in Alien when Dallas goes into the air shaft and the alien gets him. I know it's coming, but I jump every time. Maybe I should stop watching that film...

Movies That Are Supposed To Be Scary
aren't, at least generally.

I like some of those movies for the creep factor, as well as the plots, else it's kind of, well, not scary.
Dr. Caligari's Cabinet was excellent and definitely had the creep factor. Back then, they depended on lighting and mood and stuff, which made movies so much better. If you convert today's movies into black and white, I guarantee you that they just wouldn't cut it.
Event Horizon was the only movie that actually did scare me. Like, that movie was downright creepy. It was so good!

Films based off best-selling videogames usually aren't that good anyway.

Children of The Corn.

I laughed and mocked all the victims. It was so predictable and boring.

I thought that The Human Centipede was maybe the most overrated horror film of all time. That's not to say that it wasn't a good horror flick, but there was just so much hype when it first came out that it couldn't live up to.

It wasn't too bad really, just not very scary.

There are some scary movies that I like (usually because they get me thinking for one reason or another), but I generally avoid them because I'm a big wimp. And I don't mean that I'm a weakly interacting massive particle...

Every horror movie I've seen.
The only movie that ever scared me wasn't meant to be scary.

Paranormal Activity stands out as being remarkably unscary.

Both 1 and 2, to me, were jokes with an hour and a half build up. I never laughed so hard in my life toward the end of both those movies.

Then again I have a strange sense of humor.

I am hard to scare, so most scary movies make me laugh instead of jump. Though the funniest one I've seen has to be The Hills Have Eyes. I can never sit through it without laughing myself to tears.

I noticed the Exorcist got mentioned a lot. I'm glad I'm not the only one. When the Doctor lights up a cigarette I die laughing every time.

To be sure, Paranormal Activity 2 was a tremendous letdown.
