Am I coming across too strongly? I love talking about Indiana Jones films. Maybe I should avoid talking about them?
Don't avoid talking about them if they matter to you.
I really didn't like the 2008 film. But I loved the others, especially Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Thanks - most people tell me that I get too excited and start giving 'lectures' about the films. I don't mean to
I think most people would agree with you about Kingdom being the worst and Raiders being the best. I like them all equally. I can't wait for the 5th

Sorry for this, but I have to say it:
There's only 1 alien! The rest are interdimensional beings. They're definitely not aliens, because Stephen Spielberg refused to do another film involving aliens. I know they look like what we think aliens ought to look like (except of course we're probably wrong), and they look like they're in what we think an alien spaceship ought to look like (probably wrong again), but according the story they are definitely not aliens.
Although your question is badly phrased
I said yes. It's a B-movie.
I saw an interview with Stephen Spielberg where he spoke at some length about this issue. He said Lucas was trying to get him to do another Indiana Jones movie, and that Lucas' idea was to have aliens in it. But Spielberg didn't want aliens. So Lucas came up to him one day and said something like, "you know, maybe we shouldn't do aliens. You're right about it being overused and stuff like that." Spielberg was all excited and happy about this, but then Lucas goes like, "yeah, they're not aliens, they're extra-terrestrials!" And Spielberg goes, "WHAT?!"
Was a really funny interview, actually.
I saw a similar interview. I think Stephen Spielberg really wanted to avoid doing any more alien films. When George Lucas told him that he'd changed the name to interdimensional beings, Spielberg pulled a funny face and said "okay, whatever". I don't think Lucas understands that you can't just change the name
