Any anime fans here?

I have a question regarding a possible cross-over series idea (submission to Bandai).
Anyone familiar with the two series' "Please Teacher" and "Ah My Goddess"?
My idea would combine both sets of characters into a new mini-series but not a romantic comedy theme.
More of an action adventure. Closer to "Cowboy Bebop" style.

Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Neon Genesis Evangelion are my favorites

The story I am writing starts with the destruction of the Galaxy Federal (where Mizuho-"Please Teacher" comes from).
A handful of survivors (including her mom and sister) flee to Earth only to be followed by the invading force that destroyed their home. The Goddess network learns of it and of the threat to Earth. I'm not going to share more until I submit to Bandai.
More "BattleStar Galactica" (newer version) in anime form. Or has this type of story line been done to death?

My taste in anime is along the lines of Hellsing, Witch Hunter Robin, Vampire Hunter D, Gankutsuou, and Berserk, though I also like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Wolf's Rain, Fruits Basket, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Going back a few years-"Crying Freeman" was one I watched. And some of the bordering on hentai anime movies.

Feel free to write a fanfic of it, but getting a company to finance your idea is impossible. (not to be cruel or anything... that's just how it is)

And yes. I'm an anime fan. I've got a closet full of DVDs.

Favorite shows are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Akazukin Chacha, Future Boy Conan, Princess Tutu, Kodocha, Berserk, Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san, and Monster.

I watch a pretty diverse set of shows.
