Hi everyone,

Who is your favourite stand up comediens?

My top ones include:

Dylan Moran - I love his dry, sarcastic and pessimistic approach.

Jimmy Carr - His fast, sarcastically witty lines are hilarious and I love it when he says something and everyone laughs a little then goes "ooooohhh".

Frankie Boyle - His humour is sometimes past the boundaries most comedies would be too afraid to cross, but not Frankie.

Ross Noble. Some of his stuff is really bizarre, and I love bizarre humour.

Brian Regan and George Carlin. Regan is the funniest stand up I ever saw, but George is the best I ever saw, if that makes any sense.

I like Jeff Foxworthy, mainly because what he says really applies to my life.

One of his "You might be a Redneck if...." was "If you know a famous taxidermist" I do. I live about a quarter mile from Hank Williams Jr's taxidermist. Really. Toby's shop is up at the four way stop and everybody in town knows that Hank Jr gets all his mounts done there.

Many more of them apply to me too.

In no particular order....

Lewis Black

George Carlin

I think my husband and I are Ross Noble groupies. We've been to see him live about 5 or 6 times.

I've also seen:
Sean Lock - first time was unbelievably good, second time he bombed
Bill Bailey - funny, as expected, could not see top of screen due to where we were sitting, so a whole musical joke was wasted
Ardal O'Hanlon - seemed quite out of his depth
Richard Herring - very fast, very good, we had to squeeze past religious protesters to get in
Kevin Bridges - first time was before he was on TV and we could tell he was going to be huge
Daniel Sloss - very young and ballsy, definitely going places
Reginald D Hunter - not as good as I was expecting and humour was of the toilet variety

The Magners Comedy Festival is on in Glasgow in March and I'm just trying to decide who we want to see - Stewart Francis is a must.

Don't really know his name but the guy with curly hair, he was on roast of charlie sheen wearing the blue suit that i am very uncertain of what it is. His comedy is comedy, not out to hurt people it seems.

I believe that's Jeffrey Ross.

From the regulars on the Comedy Central Roasts I like Lisa Lampanelli and Whitney Cummings, both are pretty funny.

Craig Campbell - a recent favourite, though he reuses his material a little much
Eddie Murphy
Ricky Gervais

And yes, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle and Dylan Moran are all excellent. Frankie Boyle should never have been given his own show

I love Dylan Moran! Jim Gaffigan is quite funny as well, in my opinion.
