I haven't talked about her for awhile, but I like to see Linda have a breakout role in either film or television. She is too beautiful and talented to be thrown into obscurity that quickly. Ever since I saw her on "Freaks and Geeks" as a 16-year-old teen, not only do I think she was beautiful, but also very talented which was even then very rare to find. While she has moderate success with roles in Scooby Doo, ER, Brokeback Mountain, Grandma's Boy, and one of my personal favorites, The Unsaid. She hasn't found steady work since ER had its last season in 2009.

She needs to find a quality script fast or else she's going to be on those "Where Are They Now?" specials. Maybe Return could be her breakout role that could lead to an Oscar nomination, but we'll have to see if it gets a theatrtical release.

I still believe in Linda no matter what happens.

I am sorry to tell you this, but I do not think that's gonna happen. She is not that good, that young or that pretty. I know today you do not need to be talented to become a star (just ask Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, et al.), but you need to have SOMETHING. She just does not have that something.

She may not be that young anymore, but I still think she's got the goods to make a real good comeback or breakout role after all she has the talent. She just needs to find the right script or reunite with Judd Apatow to get her career down the right track. Just ask John Travolta, Robert Downey, Jr., or Virginia Madsen about their careers are doing now. I hope she joins the elite company. If you don't believe me, watch "Freaks and Geeks" and The Unsaid because she has it all, it's just that she's really underrated and they are not giving her enough credit for her dues. I'm still keeping the faith though.

It's surprising that she hasn't had more work with the writers and producers of Freaks and Geeks, many of which have had success elsewhere and have used much of the same talent originally from that work.

Yes, that is very interesting. Usually when writers/producers like actors they will carry them around. Like David Simon, who carried a lot of people from "The Wire" to "Treme". By the way Judd Apatow does the same (just ask Seth Rogen). Might that be that they think the same way I do? That she does not take what it's needed? She is Ok, but she does not have "star" material.

I don't know about you, but I think Linda Cardellini would make a perfect Pat Benatar if they make an autobiographial movie about her. She's got the looks, the talent, and the pipes to play the early '80s pop rocker. Plus, I think Linda would look hot with a pixie cut just like Pat ;-)
