I personally watch the daily show/ Colbert sometimes watch the local news. I also skim the CNN app on my iPod touch. Where does everyone else get their news

BBC, The Guardian, Democracynow.org, Tomdispatch.com, zerohedge.com -- I tend to avoid most mass media / usa news organzations as I don't like corporate controlled media. These days I'm even pretty fed up with NPR's reporting.

I read Google News. It's interesting to see how the same story gets a different spin from different newspapers. I also listed to BBC World and NPR, but mainly when I'm trying to get to sleep--it usually knocks me right out. ;)

Google, NY Times website, ScienceNews, and a few other websites.

The thing is that I rarely know what is going on locally.

Google News has a "News Near You" link in the left sidebar (it's always the second thing I read.)

I get the NYTimes but I generally let them pile up until the weekend, then binge on the Arts and Leisure sections.
