Has anyone seen it yet???

Probably the most artistic, beautiful, yet confusing movie I've ever seen.

Oh, I haven't seen it, but I've heard of the music from the movie. :) Is it out on video or in theaters now?

I want to see it, have wanted to for a while. I've heard many bad things about it, and I don't expect to like it, but I DO expect to find brief details entertaining...I'm going in wishing for an INTERESTING film, even if not a good one.

I have just this evening seen it, and loved it. It is amazing, and beautiful and funny and astonishing. It is a miracle to find something so "new", so genuinely original.

I kind of liked Donnie Darko, even if I didn't share the psychotic love for it that so many others seem to have, but I lost interest in Southland Tales when I read an interview with the director. He responded to all the critics who said the film made no sense, and he said they just didn't get it because they had not read the Southland Tales comic books, which you need to read for the movie to make sense. F**k that. If you want to make a film that's just one part of a larger story, that's fine, but how much of an as*hole do you have to be not to include the bare minimum of exposition to make it understandable for those of us who don't want to go out and buy all the extra merchandise? Richard Kelly can eat me.

I think that perhaps he said that defensively, because so many people could not make head or tail of the film.

But I have not read the comic books, had not read anything explaining the story to me, and though I did have to concentrate I understood it. It is complex, but brilliant, rich, mind-blowing, radical, exhilarating.

It makes perfect sense if you watch carefully from the very start, ( the first fifteen minutes or so, which I have just read someone on imdb say is actually a perfectly good recap of the backstory in the books ).

I imagine a lot of people are shocked by the amount of attention it requires. But it is wonderful. :D

Alright. I'll give it a shot on Netflix one of these days. Knowing how long it takes me to get around to movies, it'll probably be sometime around 2019.

Loved the movie :D
Especially because there was a bit of eve candy in it
and it is also a beutiful movie :D
Liked Justin Timberlakes little musical scene.

AND THE BEST OF ALL because Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was in it :D
Remember back when I was 5 years old and watched him wrestle :)
