Yeah, the intent of this thread is quite blatant.

I am looking for some of the gems that very few people talk about outside of the film circles. I discovered a documentary titled Marwencol a few days ago, and I thought it was a masterpiece. I want to go around trying out random films that I have never heard of because of that experience, but I am requesting some guidance along the way.

I am a low-income film critic. I have about 20 reviews stockpiled that I have not put on my site yet, but I have not updated my site in a while. Movie criticism and getting my writing out there is a critical part of my recovery from addiction, so I better get back on the ball.

So..... Are there any films on Netflix's streaming service that need more exposure of any kind?

You can now "Ask Max" for recommendations, but it's a little hit or miss. Anything I seem to like is removed before I find them. :x

I don't use Netflix, so I'm not sure if they have it, but i recommend the 2009 movie "Moon".

Plot: With only three weeks left in his three year contract, Sam Bell is getting anxious to finally return to Earth. He is the only occupant of a Moon-based manufacturing facility along with his computer and assistant, GERTY. The long period of time alone however has resulted in him talking to himself for the most part, or to his plants. Direct communication with Earth is not possible due to a long-standing communication malfunction but he does get an occasional message from his wife Tess. When he has an accident however, he wakens to find that he is not alone. He also comes to realize that his world is not what he thought it was.

I'd recommend Fido if it's still on...

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is really good too.

Outstanding film though it sadly is no longer on Netfilx. "Europa Report" did recently make its way on to Netflix and I quite enjoyed it however; worth a watch I'd say.

Wretches and Jabberers, about two adults with Autism traveling the world.

Also, there's a Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling documentary. I remembered it from the 80's, recalled that it was painfully cheesy, but watched the documentary and was glad I did. It was enlightening.

The Crow

Easily he best comicbook movie ever made. It even features music from The Cure and Nine Inch Nails—and obviously inspired Heath Ledger's the Joker. :D
