Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter is dead. He was killed today after an underwater swim resulting in being shocked to death by a stingray!

It was a stingray, not an electric eel.

Rest in peace Steve Irwin. I never knew him, but he was Australia, and a peice of us has all gone with him.

Amen to that. I saw him at one of his shows at Australia zoo last year. He was compassionate about animals, and is a great loss to not just Australia, but to the world.

God can be so cruel. Taking such a good person. Leaving behind a wife and a 2 year old son (don't know age of girl). I don't understand it.

Just the other day I posted Steve Irwin in "things we love about australia."

My kids really loved that show, I watched it over their shoulder and liked it too... he had so much energy and enthusiasm, and confidence. :(

I was shocked to hear about the death of Steve Irwin as well! He was an all around nice guy, and he treated all the animals he handled with care.

Rest in peace, Steve!

At least Robin Leach and Kylie Minogue are still alive.
