Anyone who knows of any proper guro (gore) anime (or manga)?

Uncensored, preferredly... I want to buy them, so what releases would be the least cut, if you know?

The best would be if it'd be romantic, somehow, as well, but I guess that might be a bit difficult to find. :/ Please do point out which also are romantic, if you are aware of it.

Guro means exposure of guts, by the way.... otherwise it's just violent. :|

Does anyone agree that the ideal guro anime would be one where at least some of the gore has a very clearly romantic purpose, by the way?


If you are unaware of any anime, coloured manga would be very good, as well. I guess that if you want uncensored, manga is always a safer bet...

Well guro is not really something I really watch, though I think that Gantz would probably be a safe bet, I have only seen the abridged series but I am pretty sure it shows guts and stuff.

maybe Hellsing Ultimate as well, there are people being ripped apart, vampires and zombies, though I think most of the time it is blood, with possible odd guts seen. There was one guy that liked to talk about how much the gore made him hard though, he is pretty extreme.

I can name a few with severing of limbs and heads, but not much about actual guts.

Guro would be something like the works of Uziga Waita. It's very different from, let's say, Violence Jack or Kite.

Try Mai-Chan's Daily Life. I hear that the gore is so extreme that it's almost unrealistic. Franken Fran is similar.

Yep, that's Uziga Waita. True guro. One page has actually become an Internet meme - the page where a pregnant Mai-chan's fetus is ripped out, raped, and then afterwards put in a blender and eaten.

Oh, that one. Yeah, I'm not interested in fetus rape and fetus consumption guro. But thanks for all the suggestions, so far... already was aware of Gantz, though, and have bought it, although not yet watched it.

By the way, you questioned my interpretation of guro, before... what you linked to almost exclusively talked about 'ero-guro', as opposed to just 'guro'. Why do I misuse its meaning? Isn't guts enough? People on GUROchan seem to think otherwise. :| Not that I necessarily have a problem with erotic guro... in fact, romantic, erotic guro is what I am most interested in finding, but it seems very difficult to find. Usually, guro is very dark or evil, instead of just beautiful.

Any more suggestions? And thanks a lot in advance... I very much appreciate any information.
