Sheep in the Big City is a relatively obscure cartoon that aired around 8 years ago for 2 seasons on Nickelodeon. To this day, I think it's the greatest show ever created. It's full of really corny but hilarious puns; for example, there are 2 army men in the show named General Specific and Private Public. I think it ended up not doing so well because the humor was too sophisticated for most of Nick's audience, many of the jokes would go over the heads of most preteens and even young teens. The show frequently breaks the fourth wall and has a bunch of non-sequitur/surrealist humor.

Basically, if you find Demitri Martin, Monty Python, ATHF and other off-the-wall type humor appealing you should DEFINITELY give this show a try

I thought I was the only person who still remembered this show! Granted, I don't remember much about it, but I do know that I watched it.

Well get to watching it then!

There are torrent sites out there too. Not suggesting anything, I'm just saying...

I remembered this show and frankly I didn't like it that much. I didn't like the way all the characters were drawn, and like you said many of the jokes on the show were too intelligent for the younger audiances to get, which in my opinion is a bad thing. I think a great cartoon should be a cartoon that both kids and adults can enjoy.

Also in my opinion when regarding Cartoon Network itself (which is where the show aired), Sheep in the Big City is what I consider the fart before the crap. Cartoon Network used to be well known for their amazing award-winning cartoons like Dexter's Laboratory and Batman: The Animated Series, now they are a mere shell of what they used to be which I think is very sad.

I remember that show. I never actually sat down to watch an entire episode, although from what I did see, I noticed that all the jokes of the show were more sophisticated than the other shows on Cartoon Network.
