The Star Wars bluray I'd coming out September 16th. I am getting excited for it despite George Lucas constantly making changes to the series. It will be fun to see the series in HD.

At this point, the only Star Wars films I'm interested in watching are pirated versions of the unaltered original trilogy. Enough is enough.

The biggest things I want to see are the deleted scenes from the original trilogy. They should be pretty interesting since many of them up to now have rarely been seen outside of still photos.

While I'll probably cringe as usual at some of the changes (maybe not so much digital Yoda in PM but more so at the new "Vader No" in ROTJ), the space fights and lightsaber duels should look awesome in HD.

I've recently just got a blu ray player and pre ordered the films on blu ray. I'm aware of the changes and I've already got the films on dvd but I just had to get them in blu ray. I don't think some of these changes are bad like the cgi Yoda in Episode 1, that looks OK, just as long as theres no cgi Yoda in Episodes V and VI. I think there unecessary but on little change in one of the movies doesn't ruin the entire flick it's still the same movie. The worst they could have done is something like replacing the music or put Jar Jar Binks in the background of one of the original films.

The first 3D remake of the Star Wars movies is coming in early 2012 with Episode I The Phantom Menace. By far the most interesting change to the films in my opinion.

What's the point of this whole 3D thing? Do you really need 3D to make a movie look very cool? I think all of the Star Wars films look very fine without 3D.

Lucas was probably just getting on the 3D bandwagon (same as most people) after Avatar made all that money. Now that the 3D hangover is starting to set in, I heard that they've switched from doing the whole saga to adopting a "wait and see" approach. If Episode I in 3D makes a lot of money, then they'll release the others. The funny thing is that they're using (arguably) the worst SW film for this logic.

The logic is they're being released in order episode I-VI.

I was going to buy it all day one.

And then I figured out they weren't the versions that were brilliant so I decided I would wait for the price to lower...

And then I saw the changes (such as Vader's "NOOOOOO") and decided I will wait for the unaltered versions.

Sounds awesome but the cheapest I found it was $80. It's expensive!

My wife preordered it for me from best buy for 79.99. Now I will be waiting for the package to arrive tomorrow although it hasn't shipped yet so I may have to wait until Saturday but I paid for express shipping so I hope I get it by Saturday.

I got the shipping notice yesterday so God willing, I should have it tomorrow. In the meantime, I should be getting the Apocalypse Now/Hearts Of Darkness Blu Ray set today, so that should tide me over till the doorbell rings tomorrow.

George Lucas has fallen to the dark side.
