does anyone know of a movie that begins with a girl (i think) in some sort of bio experiment lab, who gets gassed

cut to a town where everyone in the town goes unconscious, ie a chef is actually killed because he collapsed out cold onto a barbeque, whereas if he had only fallen to the ground, he may have come round, like the rest of the town.

cut to the military/the lab rats who send a test monkey into the exclusion zone with rope tied around his waist so he can be pulled back when he inevitably collapses, due to the nerve agent or whatever it is...

on a second thread, why does my brain seem to collect random tidbits from movie yet not remember what the actual movie was?

>> like the movie where all i can remember is a PI gets killed working on an investigation where the perp poses as an electrical engineer to trash the burglar alarm. this is possibly the same movie where a mob runs a monster truck over a used car salesman's stock for non-payment of protection money...


or the one where someone poses as a cable tv engineer to gain access to someones house (maybe Italian job???)
