How old is Max in the third season? He looks like a sixth grader.

In the episode where he had his first day of school, I noticed three things.

1. Why when Max made eye contact and held out his hand saying, "Hello, I'm Max Bannerman." did the Neurotypical classmate ignore him?

2. When Max held up his hand in the classroom, following directions, why was there a problem with his classmates? (Neurotypicals).

3. The only "friends" he made that day, were three little boys from the next lower grade than him, and not his same age peers.

Wikipedia says that Max is 11. I don't know if that means he was 11 in the first season and is now older than that. Probably not, since he would be in high school if he was 13. I would assume he's around grade 6-7.

Fun trivia, the actor who plays Max is also named Max, and the actor is actually 14.

As for your other questions:
1) I think the classmate did ignore him, because he already thought Max was weird and didn't want to talk to him.

2) I don't remember that part of the episode well enough to answer.

3) Yes, though Jabbar is 5 or 6, so the friends he made were quite a bit younger than him.

I love this show. I watch it every week, have since the 1st episode.

I thought Max was more like 9. I think Wiki might be wrong. But I am not sure.

2. He was asking too many questions, and giving too many details. He wasn't waiting for the teacher to call him and just calling out what he wanted to say, or only raising his hand after he had started talking.

3. Yes they were younger but the fact that someone was willing to talk to him about subjects he could discuss and see his good points was very heartwarming, I thought!

The AS angle is great, I think.

I thought he was eight for some reason and then I realized in the last episode he looked too big to be that young. He did look older than last year. The actor was born in 1997.
