Due to the enormous success of The Lion King in 3D, Disney and Pixar will be re-releasing four other movies to theaters in 3D over the next two years. In 2012, Beauty and the Beast and Finding Nemo will be re-released; and in 2013, Monsters, Inc. and The Little Mermaid will be re-released.

I'm actually excited for this. I haven't seen The Little Mermaid in theaters since its 1997 re-release, and I've never seen any of the others in theaters (and I've never seen Monsters, Inc. or the entirety of Finding Nemo, period). I'll be sure to attend these showings.

What about Dumbo? I can't fully appreciate those racist crows unless they're in 3D.

I'm still waiting for Disney to re-release Song of the South.

If Monsters Inc is being rereleased in 2013, it is mostly in preperation for the release of Monsters University. The same thing happed for Toy Story 3.
