...in the near future?

Tomorrow I might watch this:

Il Figlioccio del Padrino (English title: The Godson of the Godfather (1972)

From the looks of it, it's a mafia comedy/parody hurriedly put together and released in the wake of the hugely successful film The Godfather.

You know my little "movie a day" topic?

Well, I just started dipping into this for movies to watch:

So I'm gonna be watching a whole lot of old, sh***y public domain horror movies.

I would have thought it'll be quite a challenge watching many of those, Jory, as the picture quality will be very poor. Why not splash out on proper releases instead? They won't be that much more expensive and you'll get decent prints. Hell, if it's that bad, look for them online.

(I say this as someone who went down the public domain/dodgy DVD route before. Ne'er again.)

I bought it back when I was on dial-up, and watching public domain movies online wasn't an option. I only wanted a few of the movies (Nosferatu, Night of the Living Dead, The Last Man on Earth, The House on Haunted Hill, The Little Shop of Horrors, Dementia 13, Metropolis, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde) and didn't care about audio/video quality since I was getting so much content for such a low price ($10 brand new) and I'm not picky about audio/video quality in general. I can watch these movies online now that I have broadband, but I like watching them on a TV while lying in bed. As for the audio/video quality, it's surprisingly good on some movies and even worse than you would expect on others. I also have a Sherlock Holmes collection from the same company, and here's what one of the transfers looks like:

The Debt looks sick. I still need to find more previews, I'm a little out of touch these days.

I think this sum up what I will watch this week: The fall (2006), Far from heaven (2002), Ha-nyeo (2010), Rabbit hole (2010), The lookout (2007). All in line, just waiting to be watched.

This ones I want to watch, but I think I will have to wait a little while: The wind that shakes the barley (2006), Madeo (2010), A dangerous method (2011), Paris, Texas (1984), Potiche (2010), Fish tank (2009).

Does it have to be a movie we've never seen before or can it be just any movie we plan on watching?

Tonight I'm planning on staying up and watching these three movies: Night of the Living Dead (90's remake), Ju-On 1, and Ju-On 2.

I'm in the mood to get scared tonight. :P

Update:

Already watched: The fall (2006) - Beautiful, 5/5; The lookout (2007) - Kinda lame, not as good as I expected, 3/5.

Adding: "Mou gaan dou" (2002), "Lat sau san taam" (1992), "It's a kinda funny history" (2010), "The turist" (2010). The last two (specially the last one) I am not dying to watch, but we already rented the movies, so...

You can watch it complete @ Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SUFaV5E_zc. If you are going to use the link try to use it as fast as you can, because if the leave it for a while then they might remove the movie for copyright infringement or something (it has happened to me).

Evan Rachel Wood is also in The Ides of March, I think
she plays George Clooney's daughter, lucky her. 8)
