:( uhm. yeah. Some people with high pitched voices egsist, so I don't consider it funny to be honest.

Damage to vocal chords.. That would most certainly do it to. I remember seeing a talk show that aired in my country. It had a woman with a very high pitched voice.

This character woman claimed she was very frustrated, and she wished people would understand her better. These things aren't really unplausable, and one doesn't always need helium. In fact, men changing their gender to female may get a squeeky voice when they replace their vocal chords. Staged or not, I couldn't tell at this point. It did have a link in the YouTube sighs to the posted video, but with English subtitles.

I think if something's funny, and you want to laugh at it, you should -- unless someone will take it really personally. I mean, I probably would have had more self-control than the host, but not by much. Perhaps the host thought it was intentional at first, so that he thought he was laughing with him.

But I mean, in private, it's okay to laugh at something that's really funny to you. I mean, suppressing laughter on a full-time basis kind of makes life pointless.
