I was just about to pre-order a blu-ray copy of Transformers Dark of the Moon but found out that there were no extras on there at all, though I don't really watch many extras like I use to but certain extras like deleted scenes and commentaries are fine with me. But I found out that a 3D blu ray of the movie will be released, so will it have extras and will there be a feature on there to allow me to watch the film in 2D?

Not unless they remaid the film in 2D.

3D programs do have featurs to make 2D looking 3D models, like the ones you see in Futurama and such. Or do you mean will it show some of the older 2d movies?

I don't think there is enough data room to put 2D and 3D versions of the same movie on the same disc (plus special features). I could be wrong on this. It could be that it's more economically efficient to sell the the two versions on separate discs.

However, I did look it up for you and it looks like they are going to do a combo pack for the 3D release, which is essentially the movie with the 3D version, the bluray version, the DVD and the digital copy all in one set. So that's definitely your best bet are far as I am concerned. Lots of studios these days are moving towards putting the better special features on the 3D bluray as opposed to the regular and more studios are releasing these films in combo packs like this to deal with people being in various stages of adjustment. It's kinda a lousy system for regular people but I guess the idea is to get more people to buy 3D bluray.

If I did buy the 3D blu ray then would I have to use some kind of 3D tv and blu ray player or can I just use my regular blu ray player and tv, also what about glasses will they be provided?
