Hatsune Miku 3d concert! Coming to Anime Expo 2011 July 4th.

Was not sure to make this in the music sub-forum or this one. Afterall it is happening for an anime convention (ANIME EXPO 2011) and not a stand-alone concert.

I am. To the point that this Michagander booked a flight to Los Angeles, California and is risking roommating with 5 other people in a hotel room for four nights! Will be my first anime con.

If oyu got no idea what I am talking about. Hatsune Miku is a computer generated voice designed in japan to do more than give you GPS commands......it can sing! Low , mids, and Highs.

It is not the only of its kind. There is another famous one out the called [GUMI].

Hatune Miku is more well known than [GUMI] though, and has more people playing with the voice to make original songs for all kinds of genre (not just pop). Though pop is hte most common genre people make for Hatsune Miku. [GUMI] has more people making other genre's for. The jazz ones are really cool.

Now a concert for a voice? huh?
Well an avatar image was made for the voice too. Then 3 years ago Japan made a 3D concert hall that could display a rendering of that avatar singing and dancing! Look at it here:

This is so cool. your lucky to get to see it!! I wish I could go but sadly(or not) I will be going to Hogworts during this time.

I really wish I could go to one of those concerts someday they look so cool. (T_T)
It'd be cool if they had holograms of other popular anime characters that have singing voice actors like Haruhi Suzumiya. I'd so pay to see that
