Skyline, Darkest Hour, or Independence Day?

Obviously, there are some Alien Invasion fanatics around here who love to see a good Alien Invasion film.

Any other alien invasion films you suggest? Post them if you'd like and add your opinion as well. (Optional)

Independence Day - This film was all right for me. It was just too weird (with the aliens), but other than that, it was fine.

Darkest Hour - Haven't seen it yet, but heard it was awful, but kinda good in my opinion.

Skyline - THE BEST ALIEN INVASION FILM. Despite average acting, the story is really excellent and with the aliens trapping everyone around the world (blocking their escapes) and some pretty intense action.

District 9 - Emotionally powerful and extraordinary. Everything was pretty much the best in this South African Film.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

I liked Independence day, when I was little I had a big Independence Day alien toy that opened up with a smaller alien inside. District 9 was a really good movie. I did not like Skyline and I have not seen Darkest Hour.

Other alien invasion movies that I can think of at the moment:
War of the Worlds (2005) - it's an ok movie
Mars Attacks! - a lot of people don't like this movie, but I do, but that could just be because I'm a Tim Burton fan
Slither - another comedic alien movie that I liked
Invasion of the Body Snatchers - good movie

Other good alien movies:
John Carpenter's The Thing - my favorite alien movie
Men In Black
Alien
Predator

And for tv can't go wrong with The X-Files.
