Why would people praise the film Brokeback Mountain when it's all about two guys who share gay love?

O_o

Homophobic much?

And it's not "all about two guys who share gay love." It's about two people who happen to be gay, who can't share love because the world in which they live is polluted with intolerance.

Good Point.

Critic, people who are homosexual will have obvious reasons for appreciating this movie. As far as non-homosexuals go, some people, as you've probably noticed on this thread, feel an overwhelming desire to show they are morally superior to the rest of us. They are so tolerant they are intolerant.

I hope you continue to believe what you feel is right, and not what the Politically Correct want to force down our throats.

Good for you. Just ignore the hatefulness of the Politically Correct. You have the same rights they do, and don't let them tell you any differently.

So the implication is that I was doing this?

I'm queer and I HATE broke back mountain.

It equates gay love and gay sex with violence.
the main characters are misogynistic.
the "love story" is boring.
I could go on...

Hear hear on the politically correct shoving their hateful beliefs down our throats! Last time I went to the movies there was a scene with people of opposite genders making out with each other. I'm kind of appalled that everyone in the theater just quietly sat through this film about straight love out of fear of the politically correct lashing out with their "tolerance." How about being tolerant of intolerance? I can see why heterosexuals would enjoy that kind of man/woman stuff but don't force it down the rest of our throats.

I don't see what subject matter has to do with a movie being well done or not.

Hello!

I don't hate those with bisexual or homosexual tendencies, or anyone else. On the contrary, I pray for their deliverance from the forces that enslave them to that lifestyle, whether, they embrace that lifestyle willingly or not.

As a matter of fact, most of the people I know who engage in that sort of behavior do so because they have no choice in the matter. I do not judge them personally, nor anyone else, for that matter. That's not my job.

As for myself, I reject being lumped into a group of 'haters' by 'haters' of heterosexuality who wish to force their lifestyle choice on the rest of the world. It goes both ways.

Hello!

Due to its potentially fatal consequences, homosexuality can be deadly serious, and is certainly nothing to joke about. .

Having had prostate issues this weekend, I had to have a prostate exam done on me Saturday. It was VERY uncomfortable. I told the doctor: "That's the farthest ANYONE has ever had ANYTHING up my rectum!"

I knew I was firmly entrenched in the heterosexual camp for a reason, and now I know why.
And now these same people want me to undergo a COLONOSCOPY? NO WAY IN HELL! Not
after THAT!

Besides, the VA has recently had issues with HIV being transmitted by improperly sterilized colonoscopic instruments, causing me to lose my trust in their performing that procedure on me.
