When I was a kid I would watch the musical intros to a lot of tv shows, but never watch the show. I think this evolved to playing scenes over and over when we got a VHS. I still like to do this, especially on YouTube (makes it easier). I watched the vomit scene from Team America for 3 hours once, laughed the whole time. Anyone else do this?

Some favorite movie scenes:

Scene from Zulu: guy says "I had a little calf like you once. He like to eat doughnuts."

Terminator: guy says "hey buddy, you got a dead cat in here or what?"

Willy wonka: the lady smiles and her teeth are all red.

Galaxy quest: the guy says "her translator is broken..." and then she makes that weird scream with a big smile.

How about you?

I've watched this particular scene from The Third Man many more times than I've watched the entire film from start to finish:

Oh yes I do that:

Sharon to Kim in Kath & Kim "Oh my god Kim it's not fancy dress"
Kim "What do you mean I'm not in fancy dress"
Sharon "You look like a Pirate"
Kim "I do not"
There's heaps others on Kath & Kim I watch over and over.

Alice in Wonderland. The March hare "Your all late for tea" (Throws the cup at the Knight then laughs)

Muriel's Wedding when she's going down the aisle and everyone has funny looks on their faces.
And the beanbag scene was funny.

Corpse Bride when Emily comes out of the grave its fun putting it in slow motion and when she pulls the maggot out of her head.

That is a wonderful scene. One of my favorites! 500 years of peace, brotherhood and democracy. And what has Switzerland produced? The coo coo clock. Taken literally this is false. Switzerland also produced the Bernouli brothers.

I do this too! Lately with me, I've been repeating "True Blood" scenes on YouTube and on DVD.

This happens to me embarrassingly often.

There are a bunch of scenes in True Romance that I've watched over and over and over again. The scene at the beginning when Samuel L. Jackson says he'll eat any @#$%% thing, the scene where Clarence offers the envelope to Drexel, Almost any scene with Elliot.

There was a scene in Jacob's Ladder that I watched over and over for about an hour. No dialog, just Tim Robbins turning around to smile at the camara. He's good looking, but it was mainly just because the image was fascinating.

The scene in Exorcist 3 when Brad Dourif paraphrases Death, Be Not Proud and the scene when he's talking about Titus Andronicus.

Usually it's something about the dialog and the way a line is delivered that gets me. Or it's just really pretty. Either way, I get stuck in a loop and can't quit without a maximum effort.

It's also false because the Swiss didn't invent the cuckoo clock; the Germans did. :) Still, I doubt many people noticed. (Except the Swiss.)

I've watched the "descent into Hell" scene at the hospital quite a few times. It's great. I mean, horrible, But great. Even one of the Silent Hill video games ripped it off. (The Silent Hill series in general is one big rip-off of Jacob's Ladder, but that scene in particular was taken and re-used almost exactly.)

Some favorite movie scenes that I have watched over and over again:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - The part where Willy Wonka mentions cannibalism
Alice in Wonderland (2010) - The Tea Party scene up to the part where the Knave comes in
Sleepy Hollow - The part where Ichabod sees a spider in his room and flips out over it
Edward Scissorhands - The "hold me" "I can't" scene
Sweeney Todd - The "Not While I'm Around" scene

Also, back in 2006 to 2009 when I was obsessed with the two anime Hellsing and Trinity Blood, I preferred to watch specific scenes over and over again rather than watching the entire series from start to finish. My favorite scenes:

Trinity Blood episode 1 - The part where Abel orders his tea
Trinity Blood episode 3 - The part where Abel tells the little girl, "Trust me, you don't want to make the whole world your enemy. But at the very least, you do have one friend in me."
Trinity Blood episode 5 - The part where William is introduced and the part where Noelle and Esther have tea together

Hellsing Ultimate volume 2 - The part where Walter gives Seras her rocket launcher
Hellsing Ultimate volume 3 - The part where Pip Bernadotte is introduced and the part where Alucard goes to Rio de Janero and checks into the hotel
Hellsing Ultimate volume 4 - The part where Rip van Winkle is introduced, the part where the Doctor gets angry at Schrodinger, and the part where the Major gives his "I Love War" speech

Of course. I can watch Captain Planet defeat Captain Pollution for hours and not get tired. It's like for some reason, watching some things over and over does not make you feel tired of it, but a little bit of the opposite. I can't explain it better. I just really never get tired of certain things. I love repetition.

It's a form of stimming, I think. I particularly like to watch musical montages:

- "Little boy blue" from "One From the Heart"
- "The Construction" from "Explorers"
- The time-traveling sequence from "The Time Machine" (2002)
- Gandalf and Pippins ride into Minas Tirith in "The Return of the King", etc.

For me, it's:

Darth Vader tells Luke, "No, I am your father," from The Empire Strikes Back.

The scene where Ben (Dean Stockwell) is lip syncing to Roy Orbison, till he falters when he notices Frank (Dennis Hopper) beginning to lose his mind, in Blue Velvet.

When Harry Angel (Mickey Roarke) discovers the truth about himself and Johny Favorite in the movie Angel Heart, when he breaks the sealed vase, and finds the dog tags, leaving him screaming in terror and despair. Then Robert DeNiro as Louis Cypher appears to explain and confirm Angel's Faustian fate.

From The Thing, where Blair (Wilford Brimley), realizing the truth about what it would mean if the Thing were to get off of the station, goes berserk smashing the radio equipment and any transportation out. "It didn't want to be a dog! No animal can make it 3,000 miles! It wanted to be us!" I'm sure I misquoted him.

I'm certain there are others.

Yes, from movies, series and music videos. Especially music videos are candidates to be seen over and over again.
