showing my age here, i was amazed that nobody ever thought about making a movie about a long-ago british series called "rock follies."
also, there was a somewhat authentic show about truckers called "movin' on" that i woulda liked to see as a big-screen movie.
i woulda liked to see a dramatic big-screen adaptation of "happy days" which showed the dark side of the dark 50s.
i think "leave it to beaver" shoulda been a big-screen soft-core porno job, like "flesh gordon." i can see barbara billingsly and tony dow now...
"east side/west side" woulda been a crackling inner-city drama up on the silver screen, with the same stellar cast.
"the outer limits" [as produced by leslie stevens] woulda been a fine big-screen sci-fi trip.
"love, sidney" woulda been so much more real if it were shown in the cinema free of network censors' interference.
a big-screen "soap" or "mary hartman, mary hartman" woulda been a libidinous hoot. those two series needed to be big-screen pornos.
'sanford and son" and "all in the family" woulda been so much more gritty and real if they were in theatres instead of the restrictive network small screen.
and last but not least, "time tunnel" woulda been a hoot writ large and with swirling thunderous surround sound and enhanced wide-screen sfx. why has nobody even thought of making time tunnel into a movie?
