This has got to be the stupidest ebay sale I have ever seen!

http://cgi.ebay.com/PS3-Playstation-3-email-address-Patriotic-Rare_W0QQitemZ300051044206QQihZ020QQcategoryZ187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I want to buy the rights to an EMAIL ADDRESS for $300! I also want to crush my nuts in a vise and paint my body with liquid chlorine too. Some people are REALLY stupid!

 What a mug! Selling a PS3 for that much?!

The seller is either doing this for a laugh, he is ret*d, or it's a typo.

Anymore excuses you can think of?

If you look carefully at the description... he's selling an EMAIL ADDRESS with the name
"PS3" in it. The rights to an EMAIL ADDRESS are for sale for $299.99!! !! !!
What is wrong with people anyway?

At one point some guy was selling a vintage Nintendo System claiming that it is haunted!

Who want a PS3 email address? The auction is some kind of joke to me.

After an extremely rare snowfall in Texas (outside of the Panhandle), a guy in Brownsville (on the border with Mexico) sold a snowball for $5000.

BTW, Houston got about 10 inches of the white stuff then--December 24, 2004.

If I had a dollar for everytime I seen something that surely noone with an IQ of sack of hammers would buy only to see people making bids on it, I would be rich.

I wanted to sell an empty box on EBay, with the title "nothingness"

"You are bidding on nothingness. You get all the nothingness from the inside of this trailer, in this conveniently box. As an added bonus, you will also receive the box itself, and the atoms inside the box.

Each box has a different distribution of atoms. You may find that your atoms that come with the nothingness has several more nitrogens. Or, maybe if you're extra lucky there will be an iridium atom!*

*disclaimer, there may or may not be any iridium atoms. They are pretty rare and I'm not going to go hunt them down. If I find any significant quantiles of Iridium, I won't have an auction for them because I'm sure that's illegal"

It is really not the products that are up for bid, whether you have an honest seller and they will send you the product you bid on.

snipped, selling nothingness

Hehehe good one. Someone would probably buy it, too. And then, in all likelihood, they'd turn around and complain.

Side note, misread the thread title as "selling ret*ds on ebay" and thought "They allow that? What's next?"

Those can actually be very useful. Not just for launching the missles which I'm sure they aren't selling.

They can be good for security. Also it might be a good place to live for an eccentric, with a very adjustments.
